How did I find out about them?

Between November and December 2020, a friend asked me to quote a powerful computer equipment that was compact and easy to transport for his real-time streaming and video editing projects.

So I was looking through web directories and all e-commerce platforms to see if something convinced me, but without success because at that time the prices of mini PCs were very expensive and the features did not meet my friend's requirements- customer, as they were sold with processors, memory and storage for basic office and school needs.

After several days of research, it occurred to me to go to YouTube and watch videos of youtubers who are experts in the world of high-end gaming computing.

The Proto HW & Tec channel caught my attention because it presented a model called EliteMini H31G from Minisforum with Intel Core i3 mounted, dedicated video card and I loved it !! Hitting the link that shared us, it took me to the official site.

But what I was looking for was the top-of-the-line mini PC and I happened to find the H31G model with Intel Core i7 and with a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 1050 Ti graphics card.

How was the purchase process?

What interested me was to buy the mini PC without a solid state drive (SSD) and without memory (RAM) because the chat customer service staff did not specify what brand and speed of those components they handled. I contacted them several times via chat and no forceful response: /

Despite that, I decided to quote this machine to my friend and he was delighted !! He said: Go ahead, how do we do it?

To cut a long story short, I deposited the money, I bought it from the website, and while I was waiting for the order to be processed in Hong Kong, I decided to buy the SSD and RAM in Mexico while I was there.

The shipping date was scheduled for February 2021 and I decided to wait a couple months to see what would happen.

When it was almost March, I began to worry because they did not announce the status of the order. The only means of contacting them was by mail and website chat, so I wrote to get an update and when they told me that shipping was being postponed until March, I thought this was no longer cool.
